A false positive is a false alarm or an infection alert from Total Defense, for a legitimate file or program.
Updated virus detection procedures are pushed through your malware updates. These procedures could sometimes detect the behavior of legitimate files as malware.
- Collate and zip all legitimate files being alarmed as malware.
- Call support using Further Helplines below to reach our Malware support team.
- E-mail your false positive samples to your technical support representative.
- You can expect the false positive situation to be fixed in upcoming signature updates. Hence, make sure your product is up to date.
To ensure latest updates, simply right click the Total Defense icon on the bottom right and select Update Product.
